Visit Emergency Support

An emergency on a school visit can happen at any time and school leaders need access to swift and timely advice.  The Visit Emergency Support Network (VESN) offers 24-hour critical incident support from a team of five experienced advisers working in partnership. All schools that subscribe to the Longtown Educational Visits Advisory Service have access to this service.

Important safety information will be sent out to all establishments that subscribe to our advisory service via an eVisit broadcast message and/or email. Recent examples have included safeguarding alerts, warnings about non-compliant providers and amendments to D of E expedition advice.
