Educational Visit Co-ordinators

Longtown Outdoor Learning’s EVC training and re-validation courses are accredited by the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel (OEAP). Both courses are delivered in person by Mike Fawcett, our experienced and well-qualified adviser who is an Accredited Member of OEAP and Chair of the Midlands OEAP region.

Course content for EVC training:

This full-day, face to face course is recommended by the Department for Education (DfE) and is a mandatory requirement for maintained schools in North and West Northamptonshire and many other local authorities. The course can be delivered at your school premises or at a training base near Kettering.

EVC Training

EVC Re-validation

This half-day course re-validates prior training and provides an update on critical safety information as well as invaluable Continuous Professional Development (CPD).The course can be delivered at your school premises, at a training base near Kettering, or online. Re-validating training every 3 years is a mandatory requirement for maintained schools in North and West Northamptonshire Councils and many other local authorities.

Course content for EVC re-validation training:

The EVC re-validation course refreshes all the EVC Training topics above as well as:

 

  • Reviewing changes in Educational Visits policy and practice

 

  • Reviewing the learning from critical incidents and near misses nationally, regionally and locally
